Granite - Unique and sophistcated are the most appropriate words to discribe the beauty of natural stone. Granite is a hard coarse-grained rock and one of the most beautiful natural stones in the world. It is difficult to damage, generally impossible to scratch, heat resistant, and durable, making it an ideal choice for kitchen and bathroom countertops. Granite is resilient, lasting decades on end, easy to clean and maintain, and is very aesthetic. It creates a luxurious, spacious feel in any home. Granite is available in polished (most common), honed (unpolished), and rough textured (flamed) finishes to suit varying decor tastes. It carries a timeless quality.
Marble: Marble's elegance is legendary and was once considered the domain of the rich and famous. Marble today is popular as a top choice for kitchen and bathroom countertops. Marble is not as durable as granite, because it can be scratched and can stain. However, it is heat resistant and is easy to clean and maintain.
Quartz: Quartz, or engineered stone, countertops have become a popular choice in recent years. If you love the look of granite, take a look at this countertop material. Quartz is a hard mineral which forms in clusters rather then large pieces of stone. Therefore, it cannot be cut into slabs, but it works well when crushed. Quartz countertops are produced by combining ground natural quartz with a resin, binders and desired colorant. A ratio of 93% quartz to 7% resin is generally used. A quartz countertop is a dense, nonporous surface which is consitent in color and texture. It is tough and hard, and it can be fabricated in slabs big enough for a one-piece island or for larger countertops with curved edges. Quartz countertops are food safe and do not stain or etch when oil, grease, or acid is left on them. You do not need to seal these countertops like other natural stone surfaces. Quartz countertops are heat resistant, not heat proof, so don't place hot pots, pans or bakeware on them without a trivet or protective hot mat.

Solid Surface: Solid Surface is an extraordinarily versatile surfacing material which offers a host of benefits in performance and design flexibility due to the ability to produce inconspicuous seams. Solid Surface is non -porous, therefore it resists bacterial and fungal growth. Solid Surface is easy to clean and will resist heat, stain and impact.
Concrete: Concrete is a more contemporary look, custom made in any shape, surface finish, and color. Through the years the countertop may experience a few stains, but the natural patina process that happens over time can be quite beautiful.

Plastic Laminate: Plastic laminates are the most widely used material for kitchen countertops. It is popular because it is inexpensive, resistant to stains and grease, low maintenance, hides scratches, and it comes in any array collors and textures. However, sharp objects and hot pans can damage laminate plastic countertops and the damage is hard to repair.
